Very true, but I still say there are too many of the Laker players just standing around waiting to shoot the three. Even Ball is standing around to take the three point shot, and sure he will hit one every once in a while, but he should be driving and passing when the defense collapses on him. Need more passing the ball around. More pick and roll. Lakers do not have legit three point shooters. Kuz and Hart are about the only two I would trust, because not even LeBron is a great three point shooter. Give McGee more passes, It seems like lately he is getting very few passes. He can score if given a chance.

Lakers have been winning lately, but can LeBron last the whole season carrying the team through the whole fourth quarter. That is what he was doing in Cleveland and it did not work too good for them. Others will have to get involved, and I am not talking about shooting three's. Need more slashers and either score or get fouled.

But then again we do not have anybody that can make free throws. LMAO!

So we are 15-9 which is equal to a 51 win season. How many games has LeBron actually taken over of those 24 games? Is he literally suppose to not take over any games because Magic said he didn't want what they had in Cleveland? Of course he is going to take over some games, but up to this point he has taken over far less games for us then he did in Cleveland.

LeBron is playing with guys who have 1-3 year experience in the NBA. How long did it take Dwade and Bosh to adjust to playing with him and they were all stars well into their prime. So you expect our youngs to figure it out even quicker? You pounce on every little thing that disproves LeBron as being great.

It like what I hear on TV. If LeBron takes over a game, then people question he can't do that all year, he has to get everyone involved or it's just a remake of Cleveland. But if he doesn't take over a game and we lose, then LeBron haters want to be like, why doesn't he close this game out for us, he could of won it by himself.

LeBron is at fault for either doing to much or to less, it makes no sense.

I currently don't see any team in the West That could 100% beat Lebron in 4 of 7 games in the playoffs, besides GSW.

A few weeks ago it seemed like every super star wanted to come and play with the Lakers. Now it seems like no super star wants to be second fiddle to LeBron. The way it looks the Lakers are going to lose out on players such as Kawhi, Durant and even AD.

It seems like LeBron is having the same issues recruiting super stars to come to this Laker team as Kobe had when he was playing.

Beal wants to come and play with LeBron, but he is not a super star. He is a very good player, but not in the same caliber as a Kawhi.

But sometimes I think that we really do not need another super star and stick with the young players we have. Get Beal and maybe another player in free agency and continue developing what we already have.

How many "Max deal" type players can we even name that willing left their team for a new team that already had an "Max Deal" type player in FA? It is really not that common for a top 15 player to leave their team in FA to join another top 15 player. Sure maybe a trade happens and then that players stays there like, PG13. But that is different he was forced to OKC and had a year to bond with Westbrook and that point they just enjoyed each other and had a true friendship. It wasn't like he resigned with OKC and they became the clear favorite to win it all.

More times then not, a Super team is formed via trade, not via FA.

Also with social media now days, every good player has all the nation coverage they need to be known around the world. They want to "be that guy who didn't follow and did it on their own". That's just how the NBA is. Out side of Durant to OKC / Lebron to Cavs. What other top 15 player decided during their FA let me go play with another top 15 player? There is not many.

With that being said, we could easily strike out in FA, but I think we will get someone via trade though.

Think about it, what All star player wants to be on 3 different teams in 3 years? (Ex: PG13, if he left OKC and joined Lakers, that 3 teams in 3 years. That Is not a good look.)

Where did I say that LBJ shouldn't take over?

Where did I say the young guys need to figure it out sooner?

Where did I say LBJ is not great?

What I have said, is I don't think LBJ can keep this up through the whole season. Having to take over to beat the 2nd worst team in the conference is not inspiring confidence that they can go on to beat the better teams in the playoffs.

What we have seen is LBJ get significant rest at the end of the regular season so he can be the playoff monster that he is. The Lakers last games of the season are the jazz x 2, Hornets, Pelicans, Warriors, Thunder, Clippers and Blazers. How many games rest do you think he will take in that period in a stacked west?

You are right you didn't directly say any of those things.

"YOU: Where did I say that LBJ shouldn't take over?"

You are mocking the fact that he did take over when you made your comment "Thought Magic didn't want them to be like Cleveland".

"YOU: Where did I say the young guys need to figure it out sooner?"

Didn't mean this one...

"YOU: Where did I say LBJ is not great?"

You rarely make positive comments about him, you nit pick everything that has any little connection to Lebron and the Lakers. At least to me in the over thread when it comes to Lebron he can not do anything right in your mind. I am not going to go back and find things, but you are way more negative about him then anything else.

I thought the Spurs win was a great win personally. They have the type of team we currently struggle with. A modern big man that can shoot and play low. So for us to beat them after losing twice already felt great to me. Also saying 2nd to last in the West is true, but if you really look at it, they are a better team then that, they are 2 games out of the playoffs right now.

Also if you look back Lebron usually only takes off the last game of the year, maybe the last 2 games of the year, but usually it is just the last 1 game.

In other news. Per Mike Trudell:

Mike Trudell

@LakersReporter

Brandon Ingram (sprained left ankle) is not on the trip with the Lakers. He’s staying in L.A., and will miss Friday’s game at San Antonio and Saturday’s at Memphis. He’s scheduled for a precautionary MRI on Thursday evening.

Beal would be a nice get. But to get him you'd probably have to give up a few of those young players you're so high on. Lol

Of all the top FA you listed, think AD is our best shot. Think he might want to play with another star that came help him make playoffs or go deeper in them.

One thing is for sure I don’t think too many teams would be queuing up to play the lakers in April. The lineup of LBJ/Zo/Kuz/Hart/BI/Tyson/Rondo is not something you want to deal with 7 times. Hopefully the Lebron effect would rub off on some of the young players and we would see some consistency later in the season. Then you always have a nuclear weapon (Lebron) in your arsenal whenever you need it. Lol

So I've gone from a Kobe hater and LBJ lover to a LBJ hater? Lol

I've criticized LBJ just like I have any other player. His lack of defensive effort being a major critique. That's not hating it's stating the truth. Just as I point out faults with Luke. I don't hate him either.

I've said many times, lbj is a great player. What is there to say that hasn't already been said? One of the best basketball players I've ever seen. However, He is the right signing at the wrong time imo.

The roster is not built for his playstyle. So how do the FO get the players he needs? Trading the youth means the franchise is back rebuilding in a couple of years. Sure the youth might never amount to anything anyway but letting Randle walk was a major mistake, I don't have much confidence in the direction the fo are taking or the signings they have made.

Signs are pointing to no major stars coming in the summer should the rumor mill be right, so then what?

Now if the fo can win a championship in the next 4 years I'd be gladly proven wrong but I just don't see it happening as currently constructed. If a major trade is swung things quite obviously change but they can't make a trade and add many pieces in the summer.

So my initial comment about LBJ doing his thing like he did with the Cavs is more a sarcastic dig at Magic and the FO, not at LBJ.

It is a forum, not everyone is going to have the same opinion or hang off LBJ's nuts and praise the ground he walks on just because.

When he plays well he will get the praise his performance deserves, when he doesn't he will get called out.

So no, my feelings are not hurt. It seems yours are though lol.

You responded to a discussion Ray and I were having about LBJ. Not a discussion about the Lakers in general. So yeah sure. Instead of discussing the topic deflect and start personal attacks.

Moron detected.

Tempy: Please comply with the forum rules. Do not call anybody a moron. ralppcobarde is correct on a lot of his points. You were a heavy critic of Kobe, and I am like ralppcobarde, I have noticed that you do criticize the whole Laker organization including the team. Was wondering if you really are a Laker fan or maybe you are a mole who really is a Clipper fan. LMAO!

So let me get this right? You want me to follow forum rules and then finish off your piece by trying to mock and provoke me? The irony lol.

Yes I criticized Kobe, he was overpaid and often injured through his last contract. I felt he should have took a bigger discount in order for the franchise to contend and give him 1 last chance at a ring that I felt he deserved. His last season he became a relentless brick layer from 3 point land, I criticized Lopez for the same thing last year. That's not hating on Kobe, that's what happened.

So when I would defend Russell, Randle, Ingram and Ball that they need time to grow and improve I'm a fan boy, your words. (Fan boy of Laker players btw). But now you want to say I'm a Laker hater. Which is it? It can't go both ways.

No two people are going to agree on everything here. Just because some fans didn't like the signing of LBJ doesn't mean they hate him or that they are Laker haters. Ditto with Kobe, Byron Scott etc etc.

No one player or coach or the front office equates the Lakers Franchise. So criticizing a player or a coach, again, does not make you a Laker hater. It's an opinion, might be right and it might be wrong but just because you don't agree with that opinion doesn't mean that person is a hater. It's ridiculous.

Too many people with rose tinted glasses that want to bury their heads in the sand when it comes to criticism.

NO Tempy: I just did not like when you posted about a MORON, and that is wrong. So don't try to change the subject to something else. I really do not care if you critic anybody. Like you said this is a forum. But you and a couple others have jumped on me several times because I used to live in the Bay area and I made the statement that the Warriors were my second favorite team. And you guys keep on digging all the time about that. And now you called that other poster a moron. That is not right period.

Tempy: There is a big difference between calling a person a moron. You are actually saying that person is stupid.

A mole is an insider spy. That is not as bad a word as what you used on that other poster. And when I was just teasing you that maybe you were actually a Clipper fan, that was all in jest.
