Please post your predictions for the game against the Orlando Magic. The guys must do what well to get the win? Which Magic player should LA watch out for? Will the game be a high-scoring affair or low-scoring? Go Lakers!

To be honest KCP played well defensively & had good energy. He played well the past few games or so,just an off night.

Lebron has always been like that, he drives then most often he kick the ball out. We lost game on Free Throws & Turnovers. Were even lucky to lost only by 4 lol

I missed the game (I am used to the 6:30 PM Sunday games) but it looks like we coulda won if KCP had shot reasonably well.

You can't win them all.

Benching your franchise PG in the 4th quarter is getting quite old. Smh.

Amen to that and you couple that with hero ball and no defense equals disaster.

Our Free Throws have been atrocious now since last season. Speechless at this point how bad it is.

Probably because ball is a bad free throw shooter as well & Luke felt KCP could finish down the stretch & Lebron pretty much runs our offense. At this point if Lebron not going to let ball run the offense & hold him accountable to attacking & being aggressive, then put Lebron at PG & let’s get Moe some minutes at the 4.

This is the one decision that could get Luke fired. And also wake up the "Dissension Dad" -- LaVar Ball.

Benching Ball on the closing minutes was not a bad idea from Luke or who ever decided on the idea. That is not why they lost the game. The game was lost because the defense was not there on the second half. Turn overs will kill you and Ball is not very good on the free throw line, so it was coaches decision to let Ingram bring up the ball.

Some teams just have your number and the Magic with Aaron Gordon has shown that. Seems like nobody can stop Gordon. Also Nikola Vucevic has been play really good. The man is deadly from the three point line. We really do not have any good three point shooters. LeBron, Kuz, KCP, Hart and Ingram make them every once in a while, but they are not really dependable to make those shots. The Magic have at least three or four shooters that can make them.

Ball has been playing good by driving and dunking the ball, but he still is not that great on the three point shots. And somebody mentioned that Lavar would probably come unglued, then maybe Magic Johnson should just tell him to keep his mouth shut or his son will be traded to another team. I would not let somebody like that try to tell me how to run a team.

We have a lot of back seat coaches in this forum, but they are not laker coaches, so what they say means nada.

Ball is not the Lakers franchise player. Not by a long shot. Fact Magic is probably going to trade him with others for a real good point guard.

What team would take him and offer something good in return? The only guard on the market that I'd say is available is John Wall and making that trade would be stupidity.

There are no guards available that are better than Ball.

Well look who's bashing players!!! Same person that's said we should stop and get behind players on Lakers team. And Zo is a real good PG , at least defensively , Add assists and rebounding , and hopefully scoring will come around. If anybody thought he was going to be some 20+ scorer, than they clearly didn't watch him or follow his game !!!!

Having said that , you re right Magic could very well traded him with other young guys in trade for a star.

You are correct Tempy. There are no good point guards right now that the lakers could go after without giving up all of our youth movement. But you never know what Magic Johnson and Perlinka will do if they keep on losing games that should have been won. They are also under a lot of pressure by Laker fans and the owners to try and get that championship while LeBron is still a super star player.

But I would not say that Ball is the Lakers franchise player right now. He is still trying to prove himself that he could be the future, but so are Kuz, Ingram and probably Josh. Our players do not have any value yet to trade for a Wall or Beal. So that is why I am hoping Magic has some patients and looks at it long term and waits until next season and by then these young players will be peaking out, and we should have a great team next season. This season I do not look for a championship yet. Lakers are just now coming out of that deep hole they were in for the last four years.

KKennon: I am not bashing Ball or any other player. There is a difference of bashing and pointing out what I have read and that was that Ball, Ingram, and others were in the danger zone of getting traded for a more matured star player. That is not bashing anybody, and lets get that straight because that is how rumors get started and before long this social media BS gets to the front office and things could happen because of fans being unhappy.

What upset me a little is when some of you guys criticize Luke Walton for not leaving Ball in the game in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. What I keep telling myself is that these people are professionals and deal with these young men every day, and they must have a reason why they do not want Ball in the game. Usually what I have seen is that the coaches have decided to let LeBron be the closer by either driving and getting fouled or he has been hitting some three point attempts on closing minutes. So if you think you would rather have Ball taking the three or letting LeBron handle the pressure situation with time running out and the game on the line. I think anybody that would coach would go with the experienced player. Ball will have plenty of time once he gets more experienced.

It is not that I do not like Ball like I have posted before. I thin he has really improved his game by driving and laying the ball in, he plays great defense, drives fast, and passes really good. But he has to learn how to make free throws more consistent and the same goes for shooting from the perimeter because opponents are going to let him do all the shooting in closing minutes and play the odds.

Don't know about anyone else, but think Zo should have been in game over KCP and stats show that.

Ball is not a franchise player. He is overrated. He is being given a chance now that Rondo is still recuperating, and he has not shown that he can control the PG position. He has shown flashes of driving to the basket but most of it did not produce score to help the team. His outside shooting remains awful. This player should be included in the trade and its not wise to baby-sit him paying almost triple the salaries of KK or Hart. The earlier of getting rid of this supposedly franchise player, the better for the team.

It all depends on what happens in the summer. No trade will be made where the franchise takes on salary unless it's a superstar.

As for Ball being a franchise PG, he doesn't need to be. The Lakers won championships with Derek Fisher as PG. He wasn't exactly franchise. The heat won with Mario Chalmers when LBJ was there. Every position doesn't need to be a superstar player.

He is on a rookie contract. He got paid what any player drafted in that position gets paid. He is getting the same amount as Cory Joseph, DJ Augustin, Milo's Teodosic. What exactly are you expecting for the money he gets paid? Lol

So his defense and rebounding didn't help at all. And Lebron is PG, Zo trying to figure out where's he fits now.
