I don’t care about right or wrong. I only care about why Cp3 got the least. Cp3’s retaliation was also excessive imho.

I have three observations:

  1. This Lakers team is not going to be pushed around. This could bond the team together.

  2. Kuzma should apply to David Copperfield as an assistant because he sure knows how to disappear. I take back all my praise of Kuz; he likely just celeb-ed around L.A. instead of gymming it.

  3. I am seriously worried that LeBron has suddenly aged. Karl Malone 2.0? Steve Nash v.3.0? Kobe last two years? I hope I am wrong.

That's cool, it pretty much went likeable I thought it would. Like you said CP3 retaliation, BI and Rondo started it. Plus the spitting, think if he hadn't done that , both would have gotten 2. Imo

Actually thought BI might get longer , 5-7 games.

On the flip side this actually might be a Blessing in disguise. Lol

I really want more of Lebron and Zo on the floor together. Zo needs to seize the opportunity and grab the starting role.

PS: the sad part is that Kuz also starts. Smfh

I thought CP and Rondo should’ve got equal suspensions. It doesn’t look like Rondo meant to spit, it looked more like he was trying to do a Lance Stephenson, just some spit incidentally came out. 1 game between them isn’t a huge deal anyhow since Rondo still did instigate it

Surprised at how light each suspension is tbh. Hopefully they can use this as extra motivation through the season.

lol I'm okay with it. Lets look at it as a forced trial of Lonzo starting with Lebron and being able to get a peek into what that might look like.

In terms of the suspension, lol it was worth it. The punishment was not as bad as the crime. Seems like the league has become more tolerant. Melo got 15 games for his punch incident years ago.

I'd say rondo got his money's worth haha!

Me too. I was expecting a much longer suspension for Rondo. Thankfully, I think the league went easy on Rondo. This will give Ball a chance to start and see what he can do. We will see Rondo back in action on Saturday against the Spurs and Ingram back next Monday against the Timberwolves. All and all, it could have been much worse and if nothing else, we know for sure that this team will NOT be bullied. I told my wife weeks ago that the Lakers now have a team of thugs which I meant in a good way. Last night proved that! LOL.. Hopefully they can avoid this in the future. One thing is for sure. The next matchup between the Lakers and Houston will be a very interesting one because it’s clear the hostilities run deep between some of our players and them.

Yep. I was expecting upwards of 15 games for Rondo given the suspension that Melo faced. And that was a great left hook for only a 3 game suspension. I am not one to advocate or condone fighting at all but I really do like Rondo. He’s a tough cookie with great skills and a nice left hook! My wife and I replayed that several times. It will certainly prove to be one of the more memorable games this season and probably for many seasons to come.

LeBron was right in the middle of it, and he claimed ignorance.

LeBron talks to the media after the loss to the Rockets on Saturday night.

“I didn’t see anything,” he said. “I didn’t say anything to my team after the game.”

Hmmmm- I can't agree with Lebron not saying anything to the team and pretending like he didn't see anything there. Despite having friends on the Rockets team, as the leader Lebron should stand up for his teammates a bit more than that IMO.

Lebron walking around with his arm around cp3 really rubs me the wrong way. I know they are buddies but that sends a bad message to your teammates.

He should have joined Houston if he wants to hang with his boy. After that fight, he needed to take over and dominate the game. Nope....

That has nothing to do with it being CP3 and all that stuff. Typically when there is fight all players not involved will grab anyone they can to pull them off to stop the fight. Rarely does some player not involve just jump in and start throwing punches. Lebron was not about to get in the middle and start punching anyone. Lance himself didn't even get involved. It is a unspoken rule, you don't just tag yourself into fights, you either help break them up or stay back.

Melo and BI must be best friend also since, Melo helped get BI when he ran back into the fight? No it's called you grab the closes guy to you when a fight breaks out top stop it from getting worse. Melo was right by BI, when BI ran back into fight so he grab him. Lebron was next to CP3, so he grab him.

I’m not talking about the actual pulling of guys off each other or anybody jumping in to join the fight. Of douse it would be stupid for Bron or anyone else to jump in.

I’m talking about how he walked around with his arm around CP3 charting with HIM instead of seeing what was up with his teammates. That is a bad look, especially when trying to build chemistry in a new squad.

Also, Melo was continuing to instigate and mouth off until the very end. He was not trying to calm anyone down. He was being a fake tough guy.

I just disagree I don't think a single person in Lakers locker room feel any different towards Lebron because of what you mentioned. I think there was a sound clip someone caught of Lebron telling a teammate in game one, saying. "don't get up, let your brothers come help you up". When someone feel down on the court.

You are probably a Lebron hater, who looks for every little thing that he can do wrong. You are probably mad, that he didn't take the game over and bring us the W after all that happened.

We can disagree and that’s fine. I’m thrilled that Lebron joined the squad. I’m a Laker Fan above all. In the kobe vs Lebron days, sure I was on team Kobe because he was a Laker. I want them to win that’s it.

The quote you mentioned is exactly why it has potential implications. That quote was before this game and incident. He called his teammates brothers, but then where was he when his brothers needed him? Cp3 is a vet. He doesn’t need brons sympathy.

Also, yes he should have made an attempt to make his presence felt on the court after that. He should have imposed his will and got to the basket as he can anytime he wants. He didn’t.

Anyways, I hope they recover and start winning some games. On to the next one.

On to the next one with two of our better players out. My guess would be 1/4 of the games Ingram/Rondo are missing. I am so disappointed in this whole story. CPdoushe getting the least of the punishments. Horse ****! I'm sorry, I didn't see a spit from Rondo at all. I did see, on the other hand, CP3s fist on Rondo's cheek which would set anyone off. Maybe I am wrong.

He did spit, and now his people are trying to say it was unintentional. At 1st he didn't spit at all. Rondo is Rondo, he's been like this since Celtics, you take the good with the bad. Hopefully he would do anything else this season to get another suspension.

LBJ did the right thing grabbing CP3. Everyone knows that when a fight breaks out and you are trying to be a peacemaker, you never grab your own guys arms and let the enemy have a free shot. It is always the other way around.

Than being said, this might bring out some players that need time on the floor (Zo with Bron and maybe SVi coing off the bench as Kuz will probably start.).

All of this is a moot point unless Luke gets his head out of his a$$ on this small ball lineups with Kuz and Beas at the five.

I’m actually surprised to see guys on nba tv (Mchale/Webb/Thomas) side with the lakers, especially Ingram for that shove on the bearded chef. Lol.

IMO, I believe there are many players active and former that just don't like CP3. CP3 has done a lot of antics over the years including punching guys in the balls. Again, that's just my opinion.

Yeah my first instinct was that it was an accident, it was like a pffffft GTFO where you're disgusted with someone, and some spit just happened to come out. I don't know why Rondo would "sneaky" spit on CP3- doesn't make sense.

You can call rondo a head case, instigator etc but you can never knock him for authenticity. I’m actually surprised how Harden managed to slide away so easily in all this. He usually starts the fire and the rest get sucked in. Reminds me of the Ron Artest incident when he clocked Harden on his noggin. Lol. I was actually there at the game in staples center when that happened.
