It's obvious you don't like Randle but I don't think your comments are accurate. Randle has been steady this game has he not?

Looking at box score, 16% from arc, Damn !!!

Also it's not always pretty, but Clarkson had a good game.

It’s obvious you don’t like Ball, but it doesn’t really matter cause I rip everyone. You have been inaccurate with your comments about Ball as well in the past but I didn’t rub it in, since I appreciate everyone’s opinions. Imho, I don’t think Randle has been steady I would say Zubac has been that guy today, surprisingly.

Hot garbage to me is too harsh. But there's a reason why Luke said that he wants the big men to hand it to Zo off the rebound. Randle's basketball IQ leaves a lot to be desired.

Randle 15 and 7, in 21mins. What's bad about that !!! But Think Kuz will get him traded along with Deng. Fingers cross !!!

Yeah it was refreshing to see JC do some good things today and the ball was not sticking in his hands like in the past.

It gets boring and there's an abundance of it.

I have warmed to Ball btw fully admitting my misinterpretation. Tonight showed that he is not strong in the half court which was my concern from day 1.

Definitely a improvement , Along with Zu. Zo had a lot of dimes left out there tonight.

Exactly though he's not gonna get a max contract and I figure will remain in LA. I'm not a great fan of Nance but his value are the little things. I just wish he did a little more some other little things like scoring!

Agree, but it didn't look like anyone was strong in half court. Also Zo had a lot of assists that weren't made. I'm really hoping that Lopez is back for Monday's game.

TBH, I’m not that gung-ho about his half court game as well. Too many lapses and turnovers for my liking. He will have to figure it out soon when the game slows down.

Think that will come down to how they do in FA next summer, if he's still on team by than.

Randle and Nance still can't shoot. Ingram got noticeably better. Kuzma is the best PF on the Lakers. KCP will have to do a lot better on both ends to justify that $18M contract and score big one next year with another team. Luke & coaching staff need to come down hard on Ball's a$$ to shoot more.

One thing is for sure the scouts have been on the money with the late picks.

This guy has to start alongside Ball(sooner rather than later) to feed off the chemistry they have together.

Watched the second half. D is still a mighty big issues for this team. Looked porous as always, outside of some individual efforts that were decent, taking charges and so on. I hope they can improve that end of the floor or it's going to be another long season.

Imo (not just based on this game) Clarky and Randle will be gone. No point spending that kind of money on them when other guys fit the bill as well or better. It's jut an economic reality. Even with Randle's smaller cap hold before his next deal. Clarky I wanted gone last season and the one before. Randle is just not special. We'll have to see how the other's develop, but it seems to me he's not hard to replace. The $$ it would free up overall would only benefit us next off season, and as I say, they're replaceable.

I thought Thomas and Zu did ok tonight all things considered. Ball was understandably out of sorts, but showed signs. He'll be ok. I just hope he can get over the to bug, reminds me of the guy who just left to make room for him so far lol. But I think he'll be ok after a cple of months in the league.

Kuz was very good, probably the steal of the draft.

We faced what should be a very good team this season. The Wolves are deep, I didn't even know they got Gibson and Teague. That's some D depth right there. Shabazz thought of signing with us for a minute, but he was their star tonight. Wish we got him. Butler, Shabazz, Gibson, Teague, Wiggins, Towns, Crawford, Brown, Brooks, Aldrich...that's a team right there. With a top coach. They should find themselves in the middle of the pack this season, with Memphis bottoming out, Utah no doubt sliding, Dallas a non-factor, Portland a perennial underachiever etc.

Ingram got better? He was more aggressive but he's still getting bounced around out there. I also question his movement without the ball. He rarely back cuts.

I agree that Nance can't shoot.

Randle's shot is clearly better, he stepped into a midrange shot tonight that will open his game up tremendously and he's using his right hand more confidently.

Our talent level, or lack thereof, will be on display, or exposed this season. If it turns out badly, ownership will have tough decisions to make, again. Who to move, whether coaching staff is working out etc. Of course we're pushing the panic button after one pre-season game LOL. But they that was enough to get Brown fired Wink

Never believed that about Dlo, always said he was a sg. But I'm just going by what I've seen in summer league and last night. He had 8 assists , and should have easily had 5 or 6 more if teammates could have hit a shot , especially from behind the arc.

Also don't see him being a turnover machine like Dlo. Lol

Don't think there's any expectation from FO for this team to make playoffs. If there is ,they're living in a dream world. Think they just want to see young guys develop and improve. Imo

Lol, true !!! But I don't expect him to look as good as he did in SL. just think his IQ is high and he'll make adjustments and look better going forward , think he'll be hit and miss in his rookie season. Will have games where you say , Hell yeah !!! And games where you say WTF !!! LOL

The only thing that got better with Randle is his abs IMO. All those practice videos of him shooting jumpers, 3's this summer is/was fools gold. That jumper is still the same. KCP needs to stick to his strength and play hellacious "D" and not get caught up in the 3's. As for Nance, I wouldn't worry so much about his jumper because he's that high energy rebound, loose ball guy. If he hits those jumpers then that's a bonus and the kid's body looks great. If we won't some more scoring along with BI then a decision will need to be made to find a way to insert Kuz into that starting lineup. But hey it's just preseason though.

I understand what your saying but the point was Russell would have had a hell of a lot more assists if the roster had some respectable shooters/floor spacers.

I am not comparing them in any other way.

Ball seems to be a triple double machine. There's every reason to believe that he will frequently be in the 10-10-10 range with occasional scoring outbursts against teams that allow the Lakers to fast break. He did play 36 minutes last night.

Yeah, you're probably right. Looks like roster hasn't improved at all, if you're going by 1st pre-season game.

Wouldn't go that far, I think it's improved in certain aspects but got worse in others. The roster just isn't balanced imo

Well for a offense that is based on 3 point shooting and spreading the floor, having your center have the highest 3 point percentage is extremely worrying lol.

I guess they should have Downtown Mike D as a coach if that's the idea...
