I predicted 45 wins from the outset and I think with Lopez, he helps that possibility a great deal and despite his awkwardness, Julius will consistently bring a better game than did Lamar Odom back in the day who averaged 14 and 8 and was just named the Lakers top 20 (number 20) player of all time. With Ball and Kuzma and Ingram eventually finding their groove, and if the defense from the last game continues, 45 wins is possible.

20?! What list is that? Lol He was a great player but top 20 Laker?!

45 seems like a stretch to me, but would be great season if they do it. I'll go with 35, maybe 36. Think they'll be better than last year, but rest of West got a lot better too.

Also don't know if all the players finish season on this team, including Randle.

Lol, forgot about Kuz. Lets make another mistake really soon.

Let's wait till he plays a single game (at the very least) before we anoint him anything.

He has played games, and looked better than anyone we currently have at same stage.

The lakers will be a little better then last season, but they are still very young. Lakers need some players that can hit the three, right now the only two are Kuz and Clarkson, but they are not really lighting it up. Need to spread the defenders with some perimeter shooting.

The west this season is stacked and the lakers do not have the team to compete. Maybe some trades in the future by Magic will improve this team.

The preseason has not impressed me at all. I like Lopez and Bogut. as back up, I think Ball has been hyped too much by his father, I wish his father would keep his mouth shut. Ball will be good in a few years, but he will not compete with the seasoned point guards..

Unfortunately Axle, that particular wish will not come true by a long shot, lol. I just hope Mr. Lavar Ball is not going to bring any controversy/drama to the team. So far, so good, but if things start to go south- we'll have to see.

Know it's way to early , but GS and Cavs don't look like the same teams. GS already lost 2 gms at home , and didn't lose 3rd until Dec last yr. Cavs look very beatable right now. Maybe all those finals runs are catching up to them. GS 6th seed, Cavs out of playoffs if they started now. Lol

GSW will be fine but the Cavs looking old and slow. Detroit looking good on their road trip though.

Never really thought about this.

That focus could result in trading veterans to free up cap space. Perhaps worse, it could mean playing less effective players to showcase them for a trade, even if they would be best served by managing the rotations differently. A Lakers team trying to lure free agents or one gunning for the playoffs will both want to win games, but the goals could alter the process along the way.

Could explain some of the puzzling rotations.

Yeah it's brutal. But Feb/March are pretty friendly. Be interesting to see how they respond.

I'm gonna say 100%, 15 of those 17 games are against a 2018 playoff team. Maybe even all 17 games will be against a playoff team this year. But like mentioned above the schedule will even it's self out.
