Nothing to see here. Nance will be on half of the leagues wish list. The Lakers would be nuts to give up Nance just to get rid of Deng.

I don't know about that, think TRob gives you everything Nance does. Not saying I want Nance traded, but it would depend on what they got back from Orlando.

I agree, I like Nance a lot but there is redundancy between Nance and T-Rob. I really want the Lakers to resign T-Rob and give him more minutes. He has shown he can score and rebound when he does have a chance to play. Not to mention he hustles on D, even if he is not the greatest defender, he puts in a lot of effort.

This offseason the Lakers will have Metta, T-Rob, Ennis, Nwaba, Black and Young potentially off the books. I really hope they keep all with exception of Young and Metta. They all can contribute to the team or could be decent asset for trade. The cost of these players vs the other FAs would probably be much lower.

It's no for me. I think Nance, Jr. is going to be special. Now that doesn't mean he's untradeable and I like TRob as well but If had to pick between which one had to go along with Deng to get rid of his contract, it'd be TRob. That's just me though.

Exactly......i don't think Deng is as untradable as many think, i think there are teams out there like ORL or even MIN that are looking for vets to bring in to balance out their roster, while i do think we'll most likely have to give up a pick to get rid of him (more so with Mozgov) i wouldn't be surprised if we were able to land an expiring deal and a draft pick for him.

I'm with everyone else on here, Nance is too valuable to just give up in a trade as a filler, he's just that glue guy that brings everything together, he literally does everything when he's out on the floor, he hustles on every possession and is a great teammate to have around, these type of players are very hard to find..if we are able to turn this team around and are able to make the playoffs, Larry will be a very important piece for us moving forward. He kind of reminds of Draymond, just a good all around player, i'd actually take it a step further and say he's just as valuable (or even more) as Julius. Trob is good insurance to have just incase a big gets hurt, but to say he gives you everything Nance does, is selling Nance short.

Perhaps but Nance is locked in at $1.2 and $2.2 million for the next 2 seasons. I don't see Robinson signing cheaper than that.

The goal is to get better, you can't bring back the bulk of the roster and expect to be much better next year.

With T-Robs comments that he will do everything he can to stay a Laker, I don't see it as impossible. I could see a 3 year deal in the 6-10mil range (total). I mean the guy is making less than 1mil now. That would be a raise for him with a little stability. good "insurance" for the Lakers.

With Mozgov on the roster for the foreseeable future and Zubac solid play, a decision needs to be made in keeping 3 of Randle, Nance, Black and TRob.

With Luke's obsession with small ball I can see all being kept and the minutes split similar to how the warriors do things. The problem being the Lakers don't have a star to carry the average players to wins each night. So is that a wise way to spend cap space.

My thoughts exactly... Nance is a generalist who brings good skills in all categories. Maybe the Lakers can bring Aaron Gordon back in this direction? To lose Deng's contract would be spectacular and Nance is a small price to pay especially for a position specialist and likely a pick of two.

Draymond? Draymond himself compared himself to Randle... Nance is a second team role player who is hard working with a great attitude but not a great basketball player. Would Nance have been drafted if he was not a Laker Legacy? No! He's made the most of the opportunity though. I appreciate his Bball IQ..

Lakers legacy? His father played for the suns and cavs. How is he a laker legacy?

And he was drafted because of his athleticism and skill set. Nobody expected him to be a star but he is great for what he does.

Perhaps I spoke unclearly and it ought to have read a Laker and a Legacy. I trust your pea brain can grasp it now. He was drafted by Mitch whom has since lost his job due to irrelevance and incompetence. I like Larry but he's not a very good NBA basketball player. This site has been peaceful for about a year now with a few exceptions. If you decide to wage a war against me we can throw down right now! If you bring your familiar brand of ignorant disrespect I will wage a campaign against you to have you removed from this site or simply ban you from my sight given that Dave has taken a back seat and is largely uninvolved with the toxicity of only a handful of disrespectful members that remain. Does it feel good to you to f*** with people. Is that why you would make a ****** comment such as this? Do you slap your partner and kick the dog when they don't give you the answer you prefer? When you are not affirmed like a little boy? If you can say yes to any of those questions, that's low grade terrorism little man! What is your problem little man? Your response is the sort that is shared only by insecure and unintelligent people? Which one are you? Both? Have I neglected to choose the appropriate word? Why didn't I leave? Because the Lakers stink and the A-Holes vanished along with the victories. I have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for disrespect on this site, on the sidewalk or the Planet Mars. There is no excuse and when someone decides to deliver it in my direction, I set out to crush you with....

I can't disagree with this though I would still say that if Deng's contract could be traded away, depending on what comes back, such as a Gordon or picks for example, that you pull the trigger. You don't get something for nothing and Larry is generally not referred to when people speak of the young core. He's on the fringe of the Lakers future imo. Is he more valuable than Randle? Who would you like to give the ball in a tie game situation late in the 4th? Julius has a couple of glaring issues that need repaired but otherwise, he's a beast. Larry's the guy that survey's the floor and makes sure that he's got everyone's back, mostly on defense. It's a fine line as this is comparing apples to oranges / specialist to a generalist but for me, I trade Larry and Deng for youth and picks. I also think very highly of Robinson whose presence on the offensive boards and ability to score a point a minute is arguably more valuable than both Nance and Randle when he's on and given the chance.

I have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for disrespect on this site, on the sidewalk or the Planet Mars. There is no excuse and when someone decides to deliver it in my direction, I set out to crush you with the weight of your own words. I will reflect back to you your own ignorance. Most people don't understand a thing until they feel it and the tough guys curl up in a little ball and weep when they do. Choose peace and respect right now or I promise you a verbal war that you will not soon forget. There is not one reason for you to respond the way you did except to start a fight. You want a fight bring it and regret it. If you choose peace, I will reflect that as well. Yes, I am referring to you. Have no doubt about it.

LMAO...Are you for real? It was a legit question. Your response shows that you are exactly what you are accusing me of being...(if you don't know what that is, see your above questionaire). Your "word wars" really do me no harm. Yes you may be a big man on the internet, but i doubt you are more than that in real life. And please don't be ridiculous and "call me out"...You are not worth my time in reality.

I hope you realize that you are exactly the type of people that ruin message boards for everyone else. This is a board of opinions. The fact the you get so offended and let words the are TYPED on this board get under your skin really shows a lot of your character.

Yes, when the question about leaving the site was posed, I was under the impression that you were Shepherd. I truly was curious as to why you had not left the site (because I was thinking you were the other guy.)

Even so, the fact that you got so aggressive towards me with your comments, assumptions was inappropriate. I get that this is the internet and not real life and so i will not take any of it personal, but you really should do the same.

I am not one to post on here just to be an ****** to people. I like to read other peoples opinions and see what the rumor mill is swirling. I don't see anyone as a threat nor do I want to be confused as one. So lets just move on and talk Lakers and basketball.

I don't take things personally, I reflect people back on themselves. I stand behind that ethic firmly. I don't fight with people, I show them who they are and from where I stand, the world would be a far better place if respect and non-interference were practiced. The problem is that you cannot speak to a bully but you can let them feel the effects of their own projections which ALWAYS has a neutralizing effect.

I consider political correctness to be a truckload of nonsense. It's based on selfishness while I prefer to practice the principle of respect instead, which is not about me personally but all of us trying to get along. I also consider the first infraction to be the offense and not ones response to it which is the norm in the USA. That allows criminals to get away with crimes and innocence to be criminally charged for defending themselves. That's B.S. too. If I were Shepherd, who is correct in his convictions, I would have considered your comments a sarcastic challenge, something akin to insulting my character which was uncalled for. First offense, that's the crime. My response simply upped the ante and set the stage with options. Now that i realize it was for Shepherd, why would that change my position. Disrespect is disrespect no matter whom it's directed towards.

Shepherd said that he requested that his account be terminated by Dave has not done that either.

You reflect people back on themselves? How can you do that off of a comment that was made? You feel like you know someone (OVER THE INTERNET) because of how YOU read/interpret a comment?! That is a reflection of you and your perspective of people and life. Again, this is an opinions board, and you don't like the way someone comes across you can do a number of things...ignore them and keep on reading or use the block or ignore button. Getting aggressive with someone over the internet does nothing to solve an issue or make this board what it should be, enjoyable to come and share with others your opinions as well as read theirs.

With that said... Lets move on from this and talk Lakers basketball.

Now now boys. No fighting over 'lil 'ol me. I don't come to this site anymore, remember. Except I couldn't resist looking in when I heard about a good 'ol throw down going on, and my name coming up. LALA I don't know you, or much. Don't recall any beefs with you. So not sure why my tendencies are of any concern. Thanks to Sky for defending my honor tho.

Other than that all I can say wtf are the Lakers doing winning games? And how the hell did they beat SA with Ennis as the leading scorer!? LOL Damn team sucks so bad they don't even know how to lose properly when called for. Whateva. The whole thing is just insane. Such a mess it will take years to clean up. Meanwhile it's impossible to care when something is just that f'd up. Now they'll lose out on Ball and have to go with Jackson, and they already have Ingram. So then what? Unfreaking believable. So someone pls wake me when it's over. I'm going back to my nap.

Thank you for proving my point that I can read the intentions of somebody by the tone of their words even if it's only a few. Try apologizing for being an a** senor cabeza de caca. You weren't interested to find out whether Shep had left or not, so why lie? Why not simply own it? That would have ended our conversation on the spot and I would have respect for you for doing that. Alternately you now seek to define me in derogatory terms to suggest what, that I am mentally unstable LOL? I warned you from the outset that if you want a word war, bring it, so here we are, and you recoil into ridiculous insults. Your intention was sarcasm and belittlement and again, not any interest regarding why Shep has not left this site. You don't even know him indicated by your confusion that I was he. I'm guilty of not taking shite and being confrontational when it happens but guess what, you're not gonna disrespect anyone while at New Serge when I'm in the room unless you want to fight. Peace is merely the other side of the coin and I treat that with high level importance and not merely an LNS issue. Respect everyone always LALA. I'll dredge up my inner beast and match you word for word with a cherry on top from here to eternity and I'd say the same thing to you that I would say to the King of Persia. The principle is universal and certainly not of my making.

Smile I simply do not accept that anyone is entitled to judge or disrespect someone else whether down and out or living in a palace and I don't think there is a reasonable argument to refute that. Royal Blood? Still ain't havin' it! The rich folks will disagree but I would respond to anyone who tries that all the same.

I used to deploy diplomacy but you cannot talk to someone who is disrespectful or bullying and expect them to reconsider unless you speak their language a little bit better than they do. At that point it becomes reflective and bully's are bully's because they don't like what they see in the mirror. 'Holding up the mirror', as I like to put it is a powerful way to inspire peace.

Dave seems to have taken a backseat to it all so we the members of Lakers New Surge are also vigilantes kicking butt and keeping the peace. LOL Shep sent me a PM and said, "What's a guy gotta do to get banned around here?" LMAO

And by the way, don't even think about passing me in the Guess the Game....game! Smile The next game is probably going to be the most difficult to guess of the entire season and it's Minnesota who are up and down all season as well. Three wins in a row when the Lakers are supposed to be tanking! I have NO IDEA what to guess! Whoever gets that right will probably win the competition...

The Lakers seem to miss out on players who really WANT to be Lakers. Isaiah Thomas, Paul George and likely Alonzo Ball.

Are there any I missed? I am sure there are.

I noticed that trend as well. IMO about Paul George its a good thing we didn't trade for him. IND wouldve raped us like how the Nuggets did to the Knicks for Melo. It would be Dwight Howard all over again. Rob and Magic did the right thing and stayed put. He'll be a free agent after next season anyway and then Magic and company can take a swing at getting him. If he dosent come then oh well. Also IMO I think our chances of landing Ball are a lot greater than most would think. Again just my opinon.

The Lakers decided to tank it seems since the Howard / Nash experiment failed. They have been failing at failing too! Truth be told, if the lakers can land the 26 year old Paul George next season, there would be no need for a franchise player type draft pick. The big decision is what to do with Clarkson and Russell if they do land George. I'm very impressed with Ennis by the way. He has that steady and stable Mike Conley type quality about him.

Well to land him next season, it would have to be through a trade, he's not a FA till after next season. Don't think Clarkson or Russell are effected if they get PG, they all play different positions. Have said that, I still think Lakers move one or more of core, depending on what happens in draft.

Agree about Ennis, but looking at his overall numbers, if they keep pick, don't know if he'll be back.

Agree on all counts. George has been strongly hinting that he wants out of Indiana so yeah, the question is would the Lakers trade for him and if so whom? Let's assume Russell and Randle both whom will go on to make the All Star team.

Lol, I don't know about making any all-star teams. Not because they can't improve enough to be considered, but because they would each have players on other teams the next several years ahead of them.

Oh I think he can get to all-star level, just don't know if he can beat out other players to make all-star team, let alone start. Especially since NBA went to that stupid format of voting for guards and forwards. He have to beat out AD,Towns, Durant, Griffin,Leonard, Green, DJ ,Jokic, etc.

And Lakers would have to start winning more games!!!

Well if we do trade for PG13, depending on if we keep the pick and who we get will depend if D-LO is involved. For some reason I feel if we get Ball, D-LO is out. But that's just me.

YEah, I didn't think about the new format. That's a good point. But in a couple of years he'll be better than Griffin, Green, Jokic & Dj. But his biggest asset will be that he plays for the Lakers. That makes it much easier to make the All-star team. You're also right that they'll have to win games.

I feel like he's fallen out of favor to some degree.
