I guess since the front office can't bring in a real center so we have to turn to human Frankenstein. Surely Mahinmi would be a much better option.

some of you guys just just make me smh. we werent getting big stars, were going to try to sign good role players and grow. mozgov is pretty well rounded and with the cap going up 16mil/year is not bad at all considering the options are very limited, and atleast he is proven and you know what youll get.

Lol, you guys kill me. When we went for the big fish you complained, when we go for solid role players you complain. Mosgov is better than any center we've had since Bynum. Grabs rebounds, good p&r player, and can finish unlike Hibbert.

Grabs rebounds??? the most he ever average was 7. The most he ever scored ppg was 10, and most he ever average in blocks 1.2. I'm sorry, but I want a little bit more from our possibly starting center.

We have enough scoring, rebounding doesn't entirely fall on a center, you forget Hibbert was terrible, 1.2 blocks is decent, he's not injury riddled, most min he ever averaged was 25, what am I missing?

If you told me he was going to be our backup, I'd say great. But than again, it's not like we'll be anywhere near the playoffs anytime soon. Hopefully it's a 2 year deal with team option..imo

True but this is just another version of hibbert. We asked for role players not robots on stilts.

Plenty of smhing was happening at those who questioned hibbert as well.

exactly, I'm not sure why everyone is freaking out, 16 mil is equivalent to 8-10 mil now

We're freaking out because it's for Mozgov if they're going to spend that kinda money on a center they might as well invest on a defensive minded center like Biyombo or Mahimi, Mozgov is such a weird fit

biyombo is interesting because one one had he had a good playoff run, on the other hand he only had a good play off run to go off of. you won't know if he can continue that production, he is limited offensively and he can't really stretch the floor. him and randle will fill the same spot on the floor so I'm not sure if he will be good for us. mahimi is like 27 and has always been a bench big, and he always will be, he could not start over hibbert and he could not start over turner in indianna, I'm not sure he is worth that much tbh. mozgov is a solid center he is not like hibbert at all, just sit back and chill for a second. would you be mad if he would be getting 8-10 mil? cause that is basically equivent to what he is getting with the cap rising.

The thing is, people are looking at names and nothing else when making decisions. Mosgov actually has better stats than Biyombo, but since everyone decided to watch Biyombo in the playoffs, and he did well you're mad we didn't go after him. That's biased thinking. Just because he's younger doesn't make him any different.

Mosgov is solid, it's a lot better than Hibbert, and I think he'll surprise a lot of fans.

this would be the dumbest signing possible. Its a fake account that started it or someone paid off the media to use it as a smokescreen for something else, who knows lol. What a mo fo joke. Hibbert is better

LOL he is about to become formerly 29, he turns 30 in 2 weeks and we want to pay him around 16 million. We are just giving the Clippers more reason to rag on us. I think we have just gotten Mozgoved ourselfs.

Especially with Biyombo and Hortford still out there. So unless those players said no, I wouldn't panic and we still probe for these players. Dark horse small forward....Mo Harkless maybe. Blazers are throwing max at Parsons, so maybe Portland does not match. And it sounds like Evan Turner is being looked at. Another number 2 pick from Ohio State possibly?

if the only trash center you can get is mozgov. Just hold out and sign a guard and small forward then resign hibbert to a 2 year 10 million

I would take bogut in a heartbeat injury notwithstanding. In fact I think I would prefer hibbert over mosgov. Mosgov didn't get 5 mins playing time in the play offs. How do you ignore Biyombo/mahimi/Ezili and there were talks about Tyler Zeller as well.

Even if Biyombo disappeared in the last couple of games, he at least played in the playoffs and was an integral part of their team. Mosgov was just a non factor towards the latter part of the season.

mozgov didn't play playoffs because cavs played better with a smaller lineup, with lebron playing PF and thompson and love playing center. their system didn't fit mozgov anymore

Don't think Biyombo is leaving Toronto, in Mosgov defense, he did look a lot better year before last, when he got more playing time.

ESPN said even after the Mozgov signing we still have around 35 mill in cap. Interesting that would still be enough to bring in Batum and parsons if they wanted to.

Was another team really going to offer Moz anything close to 16 mil/yr? He made 4.9mil last and hardly played. I'm kinda confused why this was Mitch's first call at 12:01

You can't convince me that he's an upgrade over hibbert. Stats or no stats...lol. At least hibbert was a good teammate and had good chemistry with the rooks and was a strong locker room presence....and we could have had him for 7-8m hahaha. Similar talent half the $$$.

I'm not sure if you place any credence to Woj and Bobby Marks, but according to The Vertical's top 100 FAs, Mozgov is absolutely better than Hibbert.

well lets root for big free agent signings for philly and brooklyn. No way will we win 20 games with Frankenstein as are big addition. Wtf Mitch, I'd gamble on meyers leonard instead. It doesn't matter the cap went up or not mozgov is worth 65 million...for 12 years not 4

That's not saying much, he behind every center that was even talked about in FA. Hell he's even behind a broke down AL Jefferson. Lol

And according to this chart, he is worse than Hibbert.

If a center who could not even get third tier status on his previous team, then he doesn't deserve to be in the NBA. We needed folks like Noah or robin lopez who at least defend and hustle. We shall visit this thread next season. I have bookmarked it. Just like we did last season and many members who were thumping their chests when we acquired hibbert. Lol

I don't know what marks/woj have been smoking but they need to stick with sports reporting and stop behaving like analysts.
