He's certainly gotta be up there. Very few major injuries, not a lot of games lost to injury, Mr Consistent, ridiculous fundamentals, he should be called The Big Fundamental 2.

Amazing level of play still for his age and years playing. Like Duncan very consistent year after year. And like Duncan took a pay cut to stay with the same team. Something a lot of guys could learn from. 2 of the best and most unselfish players the league has known. And both could be Mr Congeniality. Add Durant to that trio and they're like 3 peas in a pod really. Different yet very similar in many ways.

I still got to go with Duncan. He has the stats in his favor, along with the championships.

Less versatile tho, no long range J. But better D. So, I guess they could be #1 and #2?

Id probably put Garnett at #2. Not sure where Dirk would be on that list. I'm a relatively young guy so I didn't get to witness Karl Malone. However, if we are going by stats and championships, Duncan, KG, and Dirk all have at least a championship and the stats to back it up so they could be the top 3 PFs in the history of the NBA.

Dirk seemed to be an uninterested defender for much of his career. I can't put him at the top of that list. Great player though.

It's not a popular opinion among Lakers fans, but I believe Karl Malone should be at the top of the list or interchangeable there with Duncan. He had a much different skill set than Tim Duncan, but he was phenomenal with his team and what they asked of him, and for a very long time. I certainly could make a strong argument for Tim Duncan too. I guess it's just that I like Malone's style of game more.

I'm not so big on factoring in championships when it comes to comparing individual players. A player can be great and never win a championship. Just ask Charles Barkley Wink

ESPN just ranked their top #10 today.

Duncan shades Malone for me. Duncan is a 2 time MVP. 15 time all nba and 15 time all defensive selection. Offensively Malone is another class but Timmy was and still is to some extent a complete 2 way player.
