81 is only second best to Wilt's 100.... I'm sure if they really wanted to though they could have found a pretty solid record Kobe holds and squeezed into this article.

I can see Steph having a game where he does not miss or even his sidekick who scored 37 in one quarter. Their team is too balanced though for one guy to take all those shots. They would have to feed Curry or Thompson intentionally to even have enough field goal attempts. 81 was also a result of Kobe's freedom to shoot as much as he wants.
