Lmao....It's all coming out now. That's usually what happens. Not a good look for Magic. He'll never be able to justify letting Randle go unless a miracle happens in the offseason. Brook probably could've kept him on another 1 yr deal but not as important as letting Randle go. Just my thoughts. I wonder if that anonymous Executive was Jeanie Buss. Oh well As the World Turns....lol.

Lol, this is turning into one big soap opera. Lmao

I believe the issue is that no superstar wants to play in N.O. Well AD took the money on the 1st go around but now he's like screw that...lmao. The irony IMO is that even if LBJ was still in CLE, AD ain't going to CLE either. Hey MAGIC would you want to play in an arena named "Smoothie King"?.....ROTFL!!!!! At the end of the day, I still believe LBJ came to LA to position is son better and show business.

I said it before it happened. He’s not coming here if his top priority is winning. We had a nice young nucleus, but we weren’t his best option for winning. He signed here, so clearly winning is not his main focus.

I didn’t need to hear this to know Magic needs to be fired immediately. Anyone that lets your best young player go for NOTHING and gives a 34 year old a max contract has no business running a team.

That says it all.

Addendum: The saddest part in all this is, after listening to David Griffin in the car today, is that Jerry West is building a Clippers playoff team WITH a lot of cap space left to snare two superstars. One might be Kawhi Leonard and maybe KD. West does it the right way; our GMs do it the wrong way. Kinda sucks.

Question if it wasn't Lebron, but say a 34 yr old KD, would you still feel the same way? Just curious.

Not the first time the franchise has overpaid an aging player, which is what pisses me off most. They learn nothing season over season. Hoarding cap space does not work yet they continue with this stupid crap of 1 year rentals.

Where are all the fan boys that said LBJ will continue to be a franchise player through ALL 4 years of his deal because he has never suffered a major injury lmfao.

With the pace of the league increasing for the last 8 years straight (13-14 & 14-15 flat lined) of course his stats are going to be the same as years gone by.

I can save Majinka a lot of work....here is a list of free agents they can sign, probably all of 'em:

• Dirk Nowitzki age 41. ...

• Vince Carter age 42. .

• Dwyane Wade age 36. ...

• Jamal Crawford age 39. ...

• Kyle Korver age 38. ...

• Tony Parker age 37. ...

• Zach Randolph age 38.

Do it, Magic!

And, of course, Pau -- just for old time's sake!

It wasn’t Magic, it was Jeannie.

“He publicly said his first choice was the Lakers, but this winter owner Jeanie Buss opted to turn over the team's basketball operations to Johnson and Rob Pelinka, while deciding there wasn't even room for West as a consultant.

"Listen, it was not meant to be," West said Monday. "It was not meant to be."

Maybe it means she turned the team over to Magic and Pelinka and they decided there wasn’t more room. I remember reports at the time saying it was Magic’s decision not to bring him in. And you can find reports on....

He is playing well but we can't cherry pick his stats. Scoring 21 tonight doesn't stand out in a loss to Phoenix tonight.

It looks like the amazing basketball owner genes were not transferred to Buss' kids, none of 'em.

Something happened long before this, remember reporter asking Jerry about going back to Lakers right after Dr. Buss funeral, and he said " I don't think they'll ever have me back ".

Never said I don’t care about stats at all "... maybe you’re referring to some “defensive ranking” that someone came up with? Yeah, I don’t care about that. And stats are never a tell all, but still a decent tool to make a point to some people. The eye test is the most important thing. And honestly, Randle doesn’t have the prettiest game, but dude is a gamer.

Agree, he puts great effort into every game, but still has a lot of improving to do on defense. And that's is from my eye test , just posted official NBA rankings to show what I've been seeing.

21 points and still getting beat against the suns tells me everything lol.

He is a nice player and better than the trash the FO brought in but he isn't going to be a star IMO, I am sure you will disagree with that and only time will tell. Ultimately he is gone, just like Russell and no doubt some others in the summer too, the FO is failing and other than not spending our money on Laker products what more can we do?

Having a superstar on the team and having the same record that we had last year is worst than having a superstar at all. I'm 46 and I've been a fan since the 4th grade. I listen to the pregame on the radio as well as the post game. I've schedule my life around Laker games forever. Needless to say I'm a die hard Lakers fan.

Right now I do not look forward to Lakers games. I do not enjoy watching them. I no longer have that good feeling that the Lakers play tonight. Like John Gruden with my Raiders I wish he and Lebron were gone.

We can't have a superstar on our team and we constantly lose. What's worse is watching somebody but up triple doubles and we lose. Somebody scoring 27 and above per night with over 8 rebounds and over 8 assist and then we lose. I don't want to see that S***! I don't want to hear the hero worshipping media glamouring over empty stats.

I HATE THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!?

I feel your pain. I have been watching the Lakers since the early 80's. There has been no excitement from this team in an extremely long time. I don't think I have ever deliberately skipped watching a Laker game. Sometimes work comes up and I miss games, but I will typically find a way to watch a copy or at the least, highlights. I haven't even done that. I just don't care anymore.

The issue for me this year is that I had the expectation of seeing the turning point. I have said this many times and I will say it again, I was not expecting a championship team, but I was expecting significant improvement. We are unquestionably worse off than we were last year. Those that don't see that are delusional. This team is garbage and I am hoping they blow it up and start anew. FA's don't want to play here. Our current squad doesn't want to play here. LeBron... Who knows what he wants. I think he even understands that this is the end of his career and he needs to focus on filming Space Jam 2. The only way to make this team better is via trades and draft picks and we don't have the asset's for trades and will most likely not be in a draft position to get someone who will make an immediate impact. We have become a perpetual lottery team and it's depressing. I'm done watching this circus until I see the management make some logical decisions that improve the team. I'm not holding my breath.

Here's my thoughts on what we should do next:

Get Another superstar OR two all star caliber players via free agency. Keep all the young guys. Get a new coach even though I like Luke and no more multiple 1 year contracts.

It's not rocket science. Build chemistry and play hard.

If we do that, we'll win!

That's all I ask for Christmas.

Sounds great although I worry about how we are going to acquire this superstar or even the all star caliber players you mention. No one wants to play here. The only way we get these guys is via trade.

Yeah, I’m hearing the same thing that nobody wants to play with LebrOn but that’s no surprise, this has been an issue with LebrOn for sometime. Just trade him before he destroys more team chemistry.

Somewhere the front office got into the bad habit of mixing their tequila with diesel. Lol.

But we still have Mike “I suck at shooting” Muscala and JaVale “I’m a friggin clown” McGee.

The worst front office in the history of the lakers(maybe even the nba). It’s not even close.

And Zubac had 12 and 8 in EIGHTEEN MINUTES.

Look at this team WE GAVE AWAY:

DLo, Zubac, Julius, and keep: BI (and if we could have traded down) Kuzma

And I will bet anything that Kawhi, if he doesn't stay in Toronto joins the Clippers.

THIS TRULY SUCKS.

Definitely made questionable moves and haven’t shown any improvements with the Zubac trade. Just seems like it’s a trend of bad moves by this FO. Still hopeful but chances of landing a superstar are pretty slim. This team just isn’t appealing after everything that is happening.

Yaeh, totally disagree. If the nba didn’t turn to this positionless all star voting nonsense he would’ve been an all-star this year. Honestly, he’s probably the best PF in the West right now. I’d blame their losing on a lot of things before I got to Randle. Don’t know how Gentry is still the coach there. By the way, Randle followed up that measly 21 & 11 with 30 & 9. So 44 & 11, 21 & 11, and 30 & 9 seems like a pretty good 3 game stretch. But really he’s been doing this all year since they started playing him more than Mirotic. Sounds like a player we really could’ve used.

I never understood the decision to trade Lou. I was one of the few out here, who wanted to keep Lou. I understand that they wanted to develop the younger guards at that time(Dlo and JC), but they eventually traded away both of them..so what did they achieve? We have madmen running the show if you ask me.
