So I was browsing youtube nba videos, and I clicked on "the greatest tragedy in sports part 6", it shows some of the bad calls by refs in game six of the 2002 western conference finals... this is famously one of the most poorly officiated games in professional sports history that(thankfully) the Lakers benefited from greatly, but whoever made the youtube clip used low quality video and used the most overly dramatic music i've ever heard, I lol'd at 7:53-8:02, one of the lowest quality youtube clips i've ever seen, I hope it's a joke, and I hope somebody enjoys this as much as me Smile

I remember watching this two and a half years ago on Youtube and being in shock. I had no idea that the 2002 Western Conference Finals was fixed and contrived. It made me more skeptical of the product I was watching on the floor and had me questioning the genuineness of the NBA. But even prior to these videos, I still knew inside that the NBA was rigged. I just wasn't so outspoken about it. Now casual NBA fans think they're so smart now, especially after that video came out about us making the playoffs this past season and how the refs were helping us. Everyone now is speculating that every Laker game is rigged (same with the Heat). It's so annoying. I've just learned to accept it because I'll never really know whether something's rigged or not. I still love watching Laker basketball. My love for it is unconditional. Um, go Lakers!

I remember the cries back in 02. Maybe this was one of the worst games for officiating, who knows. But overall I think it is safe to say that back in his beast mode days Shaq was fouled on virtually every possession but they were rarely called. He was so big, strong, and quick back in the day teams would just grab and hold just to try and slow the monster down.

PJ would go to the press and complain about the officiating at critical junctures in a tight series just to get the refs on edge. Usually the next game would be called more in the Lakers favor. Not saying that was the case here but Phil was a master of manipulation.

As my old coach used to say... if you let yourself be in a position where the refs can decide a game, you don't deserve to win.

I posted this video because I think it's funny-just the low quality and over dramatization of the video. I'm not trying to shed light on a the past, I think enough talk has been made about this game to last a lifetime.

it's kinda like calling lebron an american hero and then playing his highlight reel to the national anthem... choreographed to the national anthem... with low quality video... and sometimes framing the video with the stars and stripes... if this video is parody, the creator is a genius, if not, he/she should def stick to their day job
