Budinger would be an awesome young player to add, but not sure if we would have the money for him.

Lakers also like Chase Budinger but it's a severe long shot. He'll get more than $3.1 mill they can offer him annually, league source says.

Basically, the Lakers are looking for shooters. More shooters=more space for Dwight.

If there was ever a chance to get him, now is the time. Coming off an injury and not much exposure during the regular season.

Chase Budinger was one of the best young players from his draft class, when he was on the Rockets he did great for them.I would love the Lakers to sign this very athletic shooter,he hits 3 pointers.Injuries are a concern to a certain extent. But a great idea tbh.

Budinger would be one of the only free agents I'd consider offering the full mini-MLE to.

He would be a great signing for out mini-MLE, if he would accept it. Could come in and even start at SF or come off the bench and be a solid 6th man. Make it happen, Mitch!

Mine is too but yeah. My dream free agency scenario would be re-signing D12, signing Budinger and Nick Young each for half of the mini-MLE (with promises to reupp next offseason) and signing Collison or Beverley to a vet's minimum contract. Lastly sign Casspi to a vet's minimum contract.

PG - Nash, Collison/Beverley, Blake

SG - Kobe, Young, Meeks

SF - Budinger, MWP, Casspi

PF - Gasol, Clark, MWP

C - D12, Hill, Sacre

The Lakers would have a better looking starting lineup and more importantly a more potent 2nd unit.

It would br awesome to have him. The problem is that we are rumoured to interested in a couple of nice players but I doubt that they will sign with us. Players want security and Lakers will want to sign them for one year so they could have flexibility next year. Why would anyone sign with Lakers for one year for most likely the minimum if they can get 2-3 year contracts.

That looks like a pretty stacked line-up. Remember, when people actually hit their shots and he is actually healthy, Nash can make all those shooters shine really easily. We need to stay healthy this time.

Budinger would be a great addition to the team but other teams are going to offer way more than the mini-MLE unfortunately.

Actually both shooters are good but I'd go for Chase.

If He has a 4 year contract offer I don't think he would come to the lakers who would probably only offer a 1 year deal.

Wolves Have Four-Year Offers To Both Redick, Budinger

Jul 02, 2013 12:17 AM EDT

The Minnesota Timberwolves have four-year offers on the table to both J.J. Redick and Chase Budinger.

The Wolves prefer to sign Redick, but are committed to signing one of the two players.

Minnesota is looking for a floor-spreading wing.

FWIW - Budinger and Dunleavy are getting $ within Lakers price range starting at $3 mil - though not sure LA is offering 2-year deals

https://twitter.com/EricPincus

EDIT:

Eric Pincus ‏@EricPincus 27s

Budinger got more than I thought $16 mil over 3 - so $5 mil - more than Lakers budget
