Adrian Wojnarowski: The Denver Nuggets have reached agreement on a three-year, $15 million deal with free agent J.J. Hickson, league sources tell Y! Sports

As Dwight Howard leaves Los Angeles, the Lakers and free-agent center Chris Kaman have a growing mutual interest, league sources told Yahoo! Sports

Houston Rockets center Omer Asik has formally asked the team to trade him in the wake of the team landing Dwight Howard in free agency. But the Rockets have no plans to grant Asik's wish, sources told ESPN.com

Jeff McDonald: Jeff Pendergraph's deal with Spurs two years, believed to total $4 million

Also, Timberwolves cut non-guaranteed contracts of Mikael Gelabale and Greg Stiemsma , so they will probably look into re-sign Pekovic now.

I wanted JJ here. I don't understand why he went to the Nuggets, he could have been a starter somewhere else.

Because they've showed him the money and a 3 year deal, something we couldn't give him. He can play at PF backing up Faried and can play at center backing up McGee, he will get a ton of minutes there and Mozgov is on the way out too, which leaves them with 3 big men in the roster. He will probably have the starting spot over Javale by all-star break. Hickson knows that probably and even if not, he is comfortable with the role he is getting.Andre Miller might be out too, which is negative for the Nuggets and McGee in particular.

OR Nuggets pull off a 1995 Chicago Bulls look-a-like team, Playing Faried at 3, Hickson at 4, and McGee at 5. The guards shoot the ball all day long, and Frontcourt guys go after loose balls. :p

I seriously think JJ will start though. Might have McGee come off the bench due to McGee's medical history. But man, talk about a small team. Lawson, Foye, Fareid, Hickson, are all undersized in their natural positions. =.=

Dam Monta, Vazquez, and Cousins. That Is about a number 7th or 8th seed team. They need 1 more big name and i would consider them a threat.

Queens finally make some noise since the 04 season.

Still think they are one of the worst teams in the West, even if they can get Monta Ellis. They do have some interesting guys though.

In other news, Warriors reached a 3-year deal with Marresse Speights, which is one great pickup for them.

Don't forget McLemore.

They just got a Mbah A Moute via trade for draft picks. Good grab, the guy that they needed, plays hard and with energy every night and can defend whoever they want him to. May take them out of the Monta Ellis race, but it's not that bad as they should invest in McLemore instead of having him play 10 minutes a night backing up Monta.

IF Metta is amnestied then rumors are saying that the knicks want to have him. However, with the nba cba rules i though teams over the cap won't be allowed to bid on a amnestied player.

Metta will have to clear waivers before the knicks or any tax paying team can sign him if he is amnestied.

What moves did the Wolves make to get better, they haven't even re-signed Peck yet?

Also what did the Blazers and Kings do? Didn't both of those teams get rid of veteran talent?

they resigned Budinger and had signed Kevin Martin. they are also likely to resign Pek. if that happens they have a legitimate starting 5.

Yeah, the re-signed him today, along with Corey Brewer for 3 years, 15 million. They are also close to unloading Ridnour to the Bucks.

Their roster right now looks promising at least:

Ricky Rubio / Alexey Shved / JJ Barea

Kevin Martin / Corey Brewer / Alexey Shved

Chase Budinger / Shabazz Muhammed / Derrick Williams

Kevin Love / Derrick Williams / Dante Cunningham

Nikola Pekovic / Gorgui Dieng

I left the obvious season-long DNP's out. But it doesn't look bad at all. makes sense from an identity standpoint, has lots of versatile players, young guys, defenders along with a good coach. Maybe they'll eed to add a veteran big for minimum to backup Pekovic, don't know how ready Dieng may be.

They might not go for Martin & Brewer in the end, but still... Their biggest and best move was firing David Kahn. Not only it makes Love happier, it got them rid of the guy who took Johnny Flynn (with the pick #6, after taking Rubio with pick #5) over Steph Curry in a draft where they got 3 PG's in the first round, having dealt AL Jefferson, for one of those picks. Oh yeah, and the next year he took Wes Johnson over Cousins, Monroe, George etc...all this with Love already on the roster, no wonder he disliked him so much.

The Wolves tonight have reached contract terms with free-agent center/forward Ronny Turiaf, his agent Mark Bartelstein says. It's a two-year, $3.2 million deal for the eight-year NBA veteran

As I thought, they added a veteran Center to play a couple of minutes. Got rid of Ridnour to the Bucks.Kirilenko signed with Brooklyn for Vet's Min.

The Wolves' roster seems pretty much set, a lot of potential on a young team with lots of options and possible line-ups.

Blazers added : Dorrell Wright, Robin Lopez, and CJ McCollum who will have an immediate impact.

Wolves added: Kevin Martin, Corey Brewer, Ronny Turiaf, rookie Shabazz, resigned Buinger, and if thy can get Pek back I have them making the playoffs.
