I agree with chuck. Dwight has so much to learn. Lets look at the problems in his game. I guess the 3 biggest defects in the game are his offensive fouls, his post moves, and his free throw shooting. All Dwight needs to do, literally all he needs to do is learn atleast 2 or 3 offensive moves that you can consistently go too. If you learn it then you won't be hacked as much. As for the free throws, he needs to find a way to get mentally stronger if that's really the case why he shoots a bad percentage. The offensive fouls are such a fixable problem that its almost laughable. The way to stop it is just to STOP DOING IT! Why are you pushing your defender out of the way so fast when 8 times out of 10 you don't even get the ball down low?

I'll just keep this sweet and simple, if you have a problem with what Chuck, Shaq and Kenny said, find you another sport because you dam sure don't know basketball whether you are young or old.

If he stays cool, if he goes the whatever. I'm fine with either outcome. Best scenario for us would be to sign him and then look to trade him before deadline if it doesn't work out.

Funny how chuck mentions lebron working out with hakeem as if lebron is this offensive guru now. Kobe benefited from hakeem the most. He has done some of hakeem's moves. I've even seen a little bit of kareem's hook shot in kobe. Kobe can do a little bit of everything.I have watched the heat this season and lebron looks the same. The only difference with lebron this season is that he can shoot the 3. In the post he still looks challenged. Anyway, Just wanted to comment on that. I agree with shaq's comments and it's pretty much the same thing I've been saying all year. Dwight needs to run down the court and get post position before the defense can set. Shaq knows what he's talking about. Shaq probably saw the most bodies flying at him in the history of the nba because of how powerful he was.

Charles Barkley never won so it is hard for him to understand what it takes to win.

ok, so besides Kareem and Hakeem, has anybody suggested that Shaq do a few practice sessions with Dwight?

I know these fools are all ego, but wouldn't it just win over every fan if Dwight approached Shaq for some pointers?

It would show his commitment to excellence, growth, and probably to the Lakers "basketball" growth and maturity.

Dwight wouldn't approach shaq because he feels like shaq is just judging him instead of giving him constructive criticism. Kenny smith one time during "Inside The NBA" or "Open Court", not sure which one, asked shaq if Dwight asked him to help him with his offense game would you do that, and shaq said yes. I'm not sure whether he said yes just to not seem like a hater or he really would help him but I think shaq wants to help him. I mean think about, if shaq taught Dwight how to average 25-28ppg, he would finally shut up about what a big mans numbers are supposed to be.

He should spend his entire offseason rotating once-a-month between Kareem, Hakeem, Shaq, & Patrick. Heck -- I'll even throw Nate Thurmond & Bob Lanier in there for good measure!

Ha! Seeking Shaq's help just might serve to disarm Shaq a bit in some of his ludicrous criticisms. Dwight has already been trying Shaq's patented "bash the guy out of the way" move but it hasn't been going over so good. Wink Maybe Shaq has some tricks to tell him about though.

Right now it seems like Dwight needs to hire a PR specialist. The guy can't win for losing and there's a long list of folks who love to bash him.

The problem with Dwight is in his mind.. He had Patrick Ewing with him in Orlando for so many years, and he cant even post up properly? Its definitely Dwight's problem in applying what people taught him

^I feel you, but its neither here nor there now. I was just commenting on the suggestion of what Dwight could avg if Shaq mentored him..But he could avg that 30 easily if he became more efficient at the ft line, minus tutelage from Shaq. The point is, I think, he doesnt have many post moves if any and yet, he is capable of doing more. Maybe the problem is those big MITs of his, sometimes big hands are said to be a gift and a curse....

yep...or rebound like Dwight or have Dwight's endurance. But then that's getting a tiny bit closer to Wilt's neighborhood.

I understand. Ya he has stone hands. As for him averaging 30 with a higher free throw percentage, it depends how high. If he was any higher then 60% he wouldnt be hacked so he wouldnt get as many free throw attemtps.
