This is nothing new, Orlando did the same thing while Dwight was there. Refs and fans alike see Howard and other post players as these big dudes that don't feel pain or something. Stan van gundy complained about this a lot while he was the coach in Orlando.

If D'Antoni were smart the next time this happens he should go ballistic on the redd. Go after the offending player, throw chairs, etc. He should stick up for his guy.

Nothing will come from this complaint, every big guy in the league takes hard hits.

Yes I've been rapping about this a lot as well. The guy is getting mugged. But as a Laker it's nothing new. Kobe gets it every night as well and gets very few fouls called on his behalf. Some players are hard to guard and get a lot of fouls called for them. The league might not like it. It might look advantageous. But that's just how it is. Some players draw a lot of fouls. Get over it Stern and tell your goons to call the games right...

It is BS tho, keep doing howard dirty bekuz dudes don't want to get dunked on or giv up an eazy basket. Dosnt seem fair,.... howard just needs to start retaliating, but now in stupid noticable ways on non basketball plays, he needs to prove a point on both ends, .... if your gona foul me (dwight) then I'm gonna dunk on ur a$$ even harder and destroy ur body offensive foul or not. Defensive end he could do tha same thing if its a basketball play, and ur going after th ball, make sure dude feels it. Dwight howard is being too soft in tha post and to top it off tha refs and rules arnt helping any., being soft in tha pot will also get howard injured more. This is a true case where it would be nice for shaq and howard to squash ther differances ., shaq recked house down ther .....95% of tha time when a played tried to hold down shaq, he got tha bucket and foul and you ended up on your back.

being big shouldn't make a differance either. Also BS.

So if westbrook go's by howard and sumhow throws him to tha ground or whatever on a basketball related play, its differant if dwight does it? Bekus he's a bigger guy. Lol okay that makes sense. Nba is tha nba. Rules are rules. Fouls are fouls. Not this guys bigger so let it go, or this guys small so call it. Players need to man tha eff up and refs need to make tha right call as every player should be equal lol this is crazy. I know its always been that way in a sense but wth. Lol.

Another point: I've heard sumone make on here in another thread,.

If tha calls are not going ur way, I dn't know about you but after tha first or second time my arms were pulled out of ther friggen sockets i'd think I would adjust my approach and keep tha ball square with my shoulders or above my head preventing that sort of situation. Dudes turnovers from being stripped would also dramatically decrease. Part of tha game is adjustment .

Truth be told, Dwight pushes off nearly every offensive play as well. He's been getting called on it a lot this season.

I hate to say it the best in the league at avoiding arm bashing amongst big men is Drew. Players learn from each other. As dub4twenty said, the player must adjust and it's not too complicated to learn to not bring the ball down, especially under the hoop. I continue to question Howard's BB IQ. I suspect the league will place the onus on Dwight to make the adjustment. I agree with this if it turns out to be so. The complaint merely draws attention to the issue in the hopes that refs will consider it during games moving forward.

I agree, I'll use shaq as an example as well. When shaq used to get mugged in the lane he would let out some steam on the defensive end. When a player would drive the lane shaq would pretty much give a flagrant foul to let the refs and the players know that he means business. He would also do it on the offensive end to by backing down a player and then just throwing it down real hard. I miss shaq as a laker.

Tha more I think about it, ... if it is a question of IQ on tha player knowing when or how to make tha adjustment to not get himself hurt or cause turnovers during tha game., that's when you hope you have a coach with tha IQ to notice tha issue that is continuous, which we don't.. even great players with tha highest IQ need a coach to step in sumtimes to point sumthing out. Jordan and kobe both are great examples of that ith phil jackson. First step to adjustment either in tha game or in practice is recognition.

That's cool but Shaq didn't miss 9 months where he wasn't allowed even lift weights. He's naturally stronger than most, but Dwight real strength is different from his current strength. His muscles also aren't fully back to where they were

Well he has been aloud to lift weights for a while now, probly not at this moment kus his shoulder now...but when he is cleared he needs to be carry'ing a heavy weight med ball around straight with his shoulders and above his head. If I wuz coach id have him posted up on tha bus with that shiish. Maybe hell get it. Keep tha ball up and maybe u won't get hurt.
