I am sure most of us have been keeping up with the scrimmage videos of the lakers and we've seen things we liked, things we didn't, and things we questioned. I made this thread for all of us to talk about each individual player, what we like, don't like, what they should work on. No need to talk about Kobe, Nash, gasol, Dwight because, we'll we all know why.

For example:

MWP: really glad to see he's in incredible shape and we can expect his defense to be better. What I hope is that he has gotten better at shooting 3s.

Morris: I was amazed to hear that he has spent the most time at the gym and I guess it makes sense considering he put on 27 pounds of muscle. I know he has amazing court vision but what I am hoping is that he has more self control this season. He tried to hard to impress last season and he even said himself that he won't do that and will focus on what he is supposed to do.

Jamison: Jamison is in good shape too. I have been hearing from all these reporters that he basically hits most of his shots at practice and finds a lot of open spots for himself. That should help his scoring in the 2nd unit. What I hope is that he steps up his defense and I think he said it himself that he will.

Odom: odom may be a rookie but I think he will get signed. Everyone has been saying how he is impressing everyone at practice with his athleticism, defense and dunks. He is a good(wont go as far as to say great) defender, in great shape and would bring a lot of energy with those dunks. He may not bring a lot of points but he would bring that Shannon brown energy. I think we will keep him over goudelock, especially if he shoots 3s better.

These 4 players are the only ones that have stuck out to me enough that I can write about them. Who has stuck out to you? What do you like, don't like, want to see, hope to see?

Even though Dwight is limited in the level of movement he can do because of his back surgery, it is not too physical for him to take 1,000 free throws a day while he is recovering. As he recovers, the rest of his game will return. But we need his free throw percentage to go up dramatically. That is the weakness to the Lakers offense at this point.

I agree, he should spend a couple hours a days shooting free throws. He might feel a good stroke and just go with it.

They need to bring in a shooting coach to work with him on that shot. Maybe Nash could show him a couple of pointers. His FT percentage would probably go up by 35 percent.

Not sure about 35%. That means he would go from 49% to 84% lol. If he keeps working I'd say at least 60% which isn't great but it's an improvement.
