Lol, I'm actually curious to see what the show would look like if Will Ferrell stayed.

X-Men - A

Just finished watching the orginal X-Men cartoon from the late 90s.

Wow...the series finale is unexpected to say the least. Confused

To me Will Ferrell would have been alright, I would have liked either Jim Carrey or Ed Helms to be the new boss. I've read on Wiki that the new boss is going to be James Spader.

Yeah, I heard about Spader too. This article says that he's gonna be the new CEO though and end up replacing Kathy Bates.

To me if he was the new boss he would have been out of place in the show but as the CEO well i just have to wait and see. I'm going to through a wild guess here and say Andy is the new boss.

Check out the trailer for this ridiculously sick action movie from Indonesia. Mind. Blown. With brain chunks on the floor.

Hey everybody!

I saw the Avengers this weekend and it was possibly the greatest Superhero movie I have ever seen in my life (tied with Dark Knight)! Growing up a Marvel kid and being a raised by a father who was a Marvel kid back in the 1960's/70's this movie was simply surreal and was more epic than LOTR and Star Wars combined!

Oh and it sucks that not many people knew who the villain was at the end credits for the next movie. I was one of the few who actually knew Smile

Just want to hear people's thoughts!

I want to watch the Avengers bad. But rather wait till it comes out so I can buy it and play it on my bluray.

It pretty much ruled in every way. My kids just loved every minute of it. Even my 4 year old sat though the whole movie and she won't even sit through an entire Disney cartoon movie half the time.

I didn't see the scene after the credits though. I wanted to stay but my daughter made a bolt for the bathroom once the credits started to roll. LOL. I can't wait to see Avengers again, and this time I plan to be present for the final scene!

So what is everyone watching when the Lakers are down by 30?

Was loving True Detective when it was on.

Currently watching:

Hannibal

Helix

Vikings

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Walking Dead

Hands down Hannibal and Vikings are my two favorite TV shows though. Tried Black Sails, Blacklist and The Following, all were meh. I enjoyed the first 3 or 4 episodes of the Blacklist but it got old fast for me. Girl gets in trouble, James Spader does something really cool to save her...rinse and repeat.

And impatiently awaiting Game of Thrones and Da Vinci's Demons

Vikings!!! Yes Mojo, a great show. Cosmos. True Detective, sadly ended for the year but Game of Thrones coming back April 6th. Lots of movies. Gonna check out Penny Dreadful on Showtime when it comes this year. Good horror is so hard to find. Hopefully this will be a winner. The trailers look good.

Love Vikings! I've been really big on Norse mythology and history of the vikings for the past 8 years now, so this show is right up my alley. And yeah it's too bad True Detective couldn't last at least 12 or 13 episodes, Woody and Matthew McConnaughey were awesome together. I've heard rumors that next season will be two female detectives...not too sure how I feel about that. I'll also have to look into Penny Dreadful, I'm a really big horror fan as well.

Went to see Divergent last night. Meh. It felt like a generic copy of Hunger Games. "Let's make the female hero rescue the male co star who can't seem to think for himself and is helpless without her." It's a nice movie for young girls to see I suppose, but not this guy's cup of tea. And that soundtrack was brutal! Good Lord, was it horrid.

Mojo,

Same here. I'm a history buff so Vikings appealed to me on that level to attract me. But if had been a bad show I would have bailed. But it turned out good and is getting better and better each show. They are really hitting on all cylinders now. Just great stuff.

As for Detective, yes, they will have a hard time matching the first year with Rust and Marty. Just great characters. We have to have faith the writers will keep on that high level. If they do, we will get good stuff and adapt and start to like the new story. It's all in the writing.

I have not seen Hunger Games yet. Waiting for them to get on HBO or whatever channel they will come on. I read some reviews on Divergent and it said it was kind of a Games clone. But also said more emotional and visceral without the bloated exposition and emotionlessness of Hunger Games. The reviewer said both franchises show a predictability and same old story-line that shows each to be shallow, lol.

I will watch Hunger Games when it comes to TV. Not sure about divergent. One thing for sure, if you want to get rich, write a series of books about teenagers fighting authority. While the teens love it, they have also made huge crossover appeal to adults too. And then come the movies!

Oh yeah, I have seen my share of bad viking shows and movies. This show is so addicting though. I still need to catch up on last weeks show but I do enjoy the direction that it's heading. I was very surprised to see so much change in just the first two episodes. I'll probably watch it tonight. I jokingly said in another forum that in order to top this season, they would have to cast Garey Busey and Jack Nicholson as the detectives for Season 2. I'll definitely be sitting back and reading any piece of news about who they....

Mojo,

So what's with Jodie? lol.

Jack and Busey would be funny on True Detective. Imagine the ratings? Sadly, I have heard Jack is getting a bit loose upstairs, if you know what I mean and it is why he has stopped making movies. Don't know if that is true but what a great actor he was. It's a shame if he is done.

I am very picky about movies I see in the theater. For the reason you mentioned, money and also I just hate wasting two or more hours of my life being bored to death. So I will vet a movie very carefully with both what it is about and also critics reviews. There have been plenty of movies I wanted to see but once I started to read the reviews I was like, nope.

The last two films I saw in the movie house was American Hustle and Wolf of Wall Street. I liked both, especially Hustle. Wanted to see 12 years a slave but it didn't play where I live. Really looking forward to that one.

Anyone watching that BBC America series Killing Eve? First season just ended and I'm watching on demand.

Found out about it when Ridley Scott raved about it and called it a threat to movies. That got me curious and I checked the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. They were terrific.

The very first scene of episode one got me involved when the main villain, this female assassin dumps a sweet little girls ice cream in her lap walking out of a restaurant because she did like how the girl was smiling at the counterman and not her, lol.

In a later episode there is just this incredible rave scene where one of the good main characters follows the killer into a rave then suddenly finds out what a horrific mistake that was, like following a lion into thick brush. What happens then is just film making at it's best.

Great story, characters and writing. But it's that assassin that really drives the show. One of the most unique characters I've ever seen and so scary and messed up but also so funny. You really have to watch to understand just what a strange, compelling character she is.

So if your looking for a good new show, there it is.

Pete,

I watch Westworld too. Probably was intrigued by it because I saw the movie as a kid. That movie was a huge influence other film's like The Terminator and others that came later.

I have to admit it got on my nerves the other week when The Man in Black and Maeve were apparently killed yet survived. I hate that kind of thing. Either have the guts to kill them or don't play that stupid game with the viewer.
