Why do all these Lakers castoffs play so good for their new teams? Specifically -- David Nwaba, Kent Bazemore, even Marc Gasol. I am sure there are more.

Bazemore played good here, FO wanted to go star chasing, clear cap space. Sound familiar!!! Lol

Took Marc Gasol to get Paul Gasol in trade.

Omg, so sad we gave up one regime for the exact same thing! 😂 Only this time they will be letting much better young players get away and really prosper on other teams. If people are bringing up Bazemore & Nwamba, I can't imagine in three years when we're talking about Randle, Clarkson & Russell! Just shoot me now. Worst time ever to be a Lakers fan! Russell was imo a good trade until he can stay healthy. Clarkson has been nothing special, jury is still out on Randle. It's not like any of them are Wiggins ,Towns ,Embiid, Simmons or Greak Freak. Lol

Yes Baad I've said that for years. LA is the team players come to to die. Esp shooters. They made a mistake getting rid of Nwaba and I said so at the time. They have a BS plan. And have had for years. Just not very smart pple in LA I think. Too affected by the smog, affecting brain cells. If they'd kept Nwaba and Lou, they wouldn't have needed Ennis. And btw, yes trade Randle and Clarky, and do NOT trade Nance. That's my advice. They won't get much back for him anyways due to his low rookie salary. He's worth ore to the team than that imo. Or will be as he comes along. SO they'll get rid of another popular and high potential guy for a bag of peanuts. The mistake is broadcasting to the league they want 2 max salary guys, when their hands are clearly tied on that one to only 1. The Dung contract is crippling. I'd be tempted to sue Dumbo for making that horrendous move, as intentionally detrimental to the team and breach of fiduciary duty, , and make him pay the contract off. He can afford it.

Nance is older and no where near as good as Randle!... how is he the one with all the potential? He's the same age as Clarkson btw, and again, no where near as good.

Good move, dodge any additional distractions, especially if it's at the expense of a 10-day'er. Hope everything works out for the guy.

Bazemore had a few good years after he left us but was cheaper back then as well. He got paid a good chunk and now s*cks and is injured every year. Trust me I had him on my fantasy team, hahaha. We are lucky he's not on our books now

No loss on Jamil. What makes me laugh is some chick has a one night stand, he doesn't wrap the sausage, she agrees to go bareback, and then sues a guy for giving her the clap. LMAO. Only in the LA> Unreal. So he is on the hook for $150 in anti-biotics. And? Whatt's the damn story here, that hasn't happened thousands or millions of times before. She knows he has green so she's looking for a payday for what? Having to be uncomfortable for 3 days while the anti-biotics kick in? Omg...smfh

Damn that guy can't catch a break. But he was on a 2 way, so why waive him? There' no money saved, or very little. I thought they should bring him up and let him play with the team some. We could use a cutter/playmaker.

He did play with team some, didn't make an impact. Guess they're looking for another 2 way player in Gleague showcase.

Like I said in another thread, Blue doesn’t fit what we are doing. We need outside shooting, not cutters.

KK what do you think about RJ Hunter on a 2 way? There is some chatter on Twitter about him. Don’t know about his defensive prowess tho.

Liked him in college, can't hurt to take a look. Also heard talk of a player that plays for Suns Gleague team, best 3pt % in Gleague, but think he's another guard.

To be honest, I'm more interested in a player through a trade. Get rid of some of these bad attitude guys, maybe get back someone that just hasn't gotten enough mins to show what they can do and/ or pick.

Agreed. No more locker room nonsense. Give Hart some more mins or let someone audition for the future.

Go after Luke Kennard... I'd trade Randle in a heartbeat for him

Loved him coming into the draft ... can shoot the lights out and sneaky athletic. We need shooters and he is a damn good one. Young and still have control of him for years at a cheap price

RJ Hunter IMO is more suited to the plays that KCP has been getting drawn up for him. Getting good looks with an average jumper doesn’t mean much. RJ is pure though. Defensively, however, he may lack.

Kennard stats aren't impressive. Doesn't look lights out to me. Than again, he is a rookie and I've never seen him play...do we need another rookie?

avg 6 pts' per 18 mins. 1 dime, 4 rbnds, 1 stl

I don't like that they've made Nance avail. What I believe is we need to keep Lopez, Thomas, BI, Kuz, Nance, Brewer, KCP, Hart, Zo. Trade everyone else.

Yup he has a pure stroke. He has a propensity to play off the ball and there were serious comparisons being drawn with Korver. If Boston had passed on him I think we might have grabbed him I suspect.

I was surprised we didn’t take him with the 27th pick. Nance for sure would have still been on the board at 34 or wherever ABrown was drafted at.

Think he fell out of favor with NBA teams because of his body size and inability to stand his ground against bigger players defensively. For teams, a talent/potential like Ingram is worth investing in, whereas a projected role player wouldn’t be worth the trouble. I for one would love to see RJ get a spot, I feel him and Zo would pair up beautifully

I think he was taken by Bos with the 26th pick. Bloody bastids. Lol. I agree he will definitely pair well with Zo.

Edit: you are right. He was taken 28th. We could have definitely picked up Nance with the 34th. Ab was just a waste of a pick.

Yeah, but I hope he's developed more, he looked terrible in Boston, couldn't hit a shot to save his life. 29% from 3, only 36% from field. Love the kid in college, but thought at time, he was one of those players that should have stayed another year.

I was researching a bit and that Silas guy you mentioned above seems legit as well. Great 3 pt shooter and excels in catch and shoot situations. Get both Silas and Hunter and it should take care of our shooting woes. Lol.

First thing,

Please don't hang all our hopes on Lebron coming here, and even if so, please don't move anyone and everyone to get him here. That's why his team struggles there in Cleveland. Not enough team around him.

Second thing,

Team building doesn't need to be done in one year, all at once. Perhaps sign 1 star this year and retain some of the players they would otherwise be ditching for that 2nd star. Then look to sign that 2nd star the following year. This would both fall in line with Deng's contract expiring to help out with the cap, as well as possibly align with different free agents than focusing on only the ones available this summer.

and Thirdly,

Simply because they are losing and the greater need is to have stars on the team, doesn't mean they can't also do the detail work of exploring end of the bench help at every position, not just the positions of most need. Sometimes you just have to work with what is available. I am referring to signing/evaluating 10-day contracts and G-League players.

My prediction for the offseason is Cousins and James re-sign with their teams. Paul George then signs with the Lakers. After that, the Lakers re-sign Julius Randle.

Think your going to be disappointed!!! Lol

Don't think PG13 comes here by himself , the Randle might be a goner( unless he signs for bargain contract). Also don't think LBJ stays with Cleveland, but doesn't come there either.

I'm going with Noel and PG coming here. And that's it. As far as top talent. They won't resign Lopez, they'll send Randle and Clarky off for someone and a pick.

Disappointed??? I don't even want them to sign George. That's just my prediction. I think he comes here by himself. He won't want to stay in OKC. Sounds like he really just wants to play for the Lakers.

Agree that James isn't coming here.

Have to disagree JJ, think PG13 or another FA of his talent would be good signing, like J. Butler was for Wolves. And when I said disappointed, I meant I don't think Randle will be back.

But I doubt PG13 leaves if they get to western conference finals. He'd be crazy to leave for crap team like Lakers are right now. But unless they do get a big time FA, they'll be in so-called rebuild for next 3-4 years. Imo

Oh hahaha! Gotcha. I'm not counting on it. I think they'll turn to Randle after the other free agents don't sign here.

As far as George go, the Thunder aren't getting out of the first round! They aren't getting close to the WC finals! And with another year and with George, the Lakers are far from a crap team. Either way, I think he wants to come here. Unless we bottom out the rest of the year. But I think the Lakers will win more in the 2nd half of the year than they have so far. We've had the hardest schedule so far, and I think these guys will co tongue to get better the remainder of the season.
