I have already sent a black-and-white unit to your house for your arrest and incarceration. You can't drink! You are still an infant. You are under age! I am shocked!

NARC! Run 3peat run!

I can't say for certain it would be my favorite beer over any length of time, but my entry was the best tasting beer at the occasion I had a few. It was a very hot and humid day in Darwin, Australia, but that's no surprise there I guess. The VB served at the pub was so so cold... so good. Oh my. Gettin' thirsty...

This thread is extremely disappointing. Hasnt been bumped in 9 months!!!! And barely any craft beer drinkers up in here. I assume most of you are in So Cal, such a great beer scene out there. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN YOU "BEER DRINKERS"

heres some of my favorites, no order

  1. Stone Ruination

  2. Sierra Nevada Celebration

  3. Lagunitas Red

  4. Rahr and Sons Whiskey Winter Warmer

  5. Oskar Blues G'Knight Imperial Red

  6. Green Flash Hop Head Red

  7. Sierra Nevada Hoptimum

  8. Ballast Point Sculpin IPA

  9. Russian River Pliney the Elder

  10. Mammoth brew co. 395 IPA

Haha give us a break, we filled like 8 pages with beer. I had my first beer after almost 2 years a couple of weeks ago and it was:

Vile, vile beer it was.

They serve a lot of different types of off the wall beers at Downey Brewing Company. It's kinda like a cozy version of BJ's.

Lol crap beer, I was like 21, I'll drink anything at 21!

Actually yes it was my first one, it's an acquired taste for me that's for sure. I can see myself drinking it again.

Definitely an acquired taste. Barleywines are very bold beers. Another you might want to try is Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot ale. Not as intense as Stone, which is known for making extreme beers

Interesting, I'll have to look into that. I had actually never even heard of a barleywine before I saw it on the menu. I'll have to check out Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot. I like Stone because I only had to get 2 or 3 before I was okay for the night haha it is strong!

Haha yep!! Lots of strong beers out there. The Bigfoot is 9.6%. Theres a lot of Imperial Stouts that can get up to 12-14%. Dogfish Head 120 min IPA can get anywhere from 15-20%

Ever had an IPA?

I don't really like or drink beer. If I do I prefer shock top, those are good.

OMG 20%??? No, I have never had an IPA but I will surely be heading to BevMo to pick some up now. That sounds intense.

The Dogfish 120 is really rare. But lots of other great IPAs. Theyre hoppy, bitter, citrusy beers. I love em. Just try Stone IPA to see if you like that, if you do, then go nuts on IPA's
